From looking at the updates we can expect from Tiger, particularly the effects surrounding Dashboard and the CoreImage stuff, it looks as though Apple is slowly migrating towards a 3D desktop. I hope that's the case - it does need improvements, but anything radical would frighten people. I am a bit concerned about this Dashboard stuff though - it seems awful similar to Microsoft's ActiveDesktop failure. It seemed like a cool idea to me at the time, but perhaps the world wasn't ready for it? I have to admit that I don't know much about this yet.
I want to send in my acceptance to Syracuse and I have to keep reminding myself to wait - there's no rush. I feel as though my decision is made, but part of my reason for teaching was to make sure I was right and I have not done that yet. I have to hold off. I think I'm feeling more pressure to do it because I can't do anything about the waiting game with Morning Calm and I can do something about this.
